Welcome to Element Three – Leading an Effective Service
Effective leadership requires our leaders to strive for excellence and focus on the success of the Trust and the service area in which they work. To do so, you must put quality into everything you do to ensure you are delivering a high quality and efficient service.

In this Element we will cover

Expectations for success

  • Keeping up to date with the NHS Organisations and other key strategies: strategic objectives and priorities: the vision, values and behaviours and the Gloucestershire Strategic Transformational Partnership (STP)
  • Effective, efficient and timely use of resources in the best interest of patient care
  • Effective management of team, budget and administration 
  • Responsibility for the personal health, safety and security of service users, yourself and your team
  • Engagement with staff, service users and local people to capture their views
  • Responding to and acting on (where appropriate) feedback (compliments, concerns)
  • Constantly seeking ways to deliver continuous improvement
